Adobe Photoshop CS4

Having recently purchased the Nikon D-700, the RAW files need at least 4.6 version and CS2 doesn't have that option only CS3 and higher can allow that version. So, I will be needing to upgrade soon, especially upon graduation. However, i found a really good price for the upgrade. I just want to make sure it's a valuable buy. I've been reading that there's alot of bugs still needing to be worked out with it. Does anyone have further information on what that will affect, or what specific updates i might need through adobe to have it function at its fullest? Thanks ahead of time!
